The final battle is here! In this final volume of Black Cat, Creed and Train Heartnet are facing each other in a no-holds-barred, all out battle to the death! With Creed’s lightening quick ability to heal and a near-invincible weapon, Train has to use his wits and reflexes to the utmost to survive.
Creed’s weapon, the imagine blade, ends up at level 3. It turns out to be an ugly looking thing that fuses with Creed’s arm, turning it into a sword with an eye at the shoulder and another arm out his back. In order to make this happen, Creed uses a lot of his Chi, but not all of it. However, the blade gets stronger the angrier at Train he gets.
Train isn’t without his own tricks of the trade. His strength becomes very evident when he starts really fighting seriously! His best moves, all starting with “Black”, are hurled at Creed with maximum strength. Also, his ultimate weapon is revealed, and you find out how he could have survived his own assassination.
Meanwhile, Eve shows her strength and skill by fighting an opponent that can split himself in two. Sven Vollfied uses his Grasper Eye to deal with his stronger opponent. The Chronos numbers VII and X, VIII and IV deal with their very strong opponents, making it look easy.
The art is especially expressive in this volume. The fight scenes are very full of energy and the flow is very smooth. The comedy bits are well done and perfectly placed within the storyline. Speaking of the storyline, it’s wrapped up very nicely leaving an opening for another series. Extra sketches and comic strips are included throughout and at the end of the volume, along with an author’s note.
The final battle is here! Do not miss the final, exciting and action-packed volume of Black Cat!!
