It’s a stand alone yaoi novel with gorgeous guys and seduction on the menu! Ashizawa is a straight shooting restaurant mogul looking for the best of the best in chefs for his new project. When he finds a little known chef with the best food in town it’s like fate was served to him on a silver platter – except that the chef says no thank you! Tsubaki is a great chef but slacks in the personality department. He’s gruff and rough all over except when it comes to his food and his little restaurant. But Ashizawa won’t take no for an answer. Nothing can prepare him for the lengths he’ll go to get his answer!
It’s a great romantic one-shot. Ashizawa persists in his attempts to win Tsubaki over, even to the point of agreeing to work in the place for a month to prove his sincerity. He gets to know the other workers better and is more and more intrigued by the rugged chef who says little and those still waters, Ashizawa is sure, run deep. It also runs Ashizawa into trouble. When he does uncover the trouble with Tsubaki it pits the two together for a heated encounter that will mark Ashizawa body and soul. Now he must figure out how to deal with falling in love and Tsubaki’s past to try to create a future the two of them can cook up together forever.
The story is sweet. The author builds up the tale nicely, creating suspense and a fair amount of anticipation. The novel is adorned with lovely illustrations, some of them almost as hot as what’s cooking in the kitchen between Ashizawa and Tsubaki! There is also a full color cover page to whet the appetite for yaoi fans who will want more with this tasty dessert of a tale.
