Train Heartnet, aka the Black Cat, is involved in one of the most intense fights yet! On his way to confront Creed, an old enemy, Train meets one of Creed’s more formidable allies, Shiki. Shiki thinks he can give Train a run for his money, but Train surprises him by giving up his strongest weapon. While Train kept Shiki busy, his companion, River Zastory, fights Shiki’s chi monster, which can regenerate as long as Shiki is conscious. The out come becomes obvious as the fight goes on.
After all this, Train and River get to the main house and meet up with Eve, Train’s partner, and Kevin, another sweeper. With guards everywhere, they have to fight their way in. Eve goes a little overboard with one of her attacks and gets incredibly embarrassed about the outcome.
When they got into the main house, Creed comes to see Train and try to persuade Train to join him. Creed sees that this course of action is hopeless, and leaves Train to fight his way to him. Some of Creed’s strategies are quite ruthless and uncaring. He actually forces innocent people to fight their fellow sweepers by using the Tao power of one of his allies known as the Doctor.
Doctor is one of the most deadly clinical evil allies in Creed’s arsenal. When Train and Eve reach his domain, they find out anything could happen.
The art is as wonderfully detailed as usual. The strength and determination of the characters, especially Train, are very well expressed. Train does some serious fighting in this volume, and the art shows how quick his moves are.
The fighting is intense! Will the good guys win??
