"You look more like Sailor Moon – and act like a psycho!"
Seo Yumi, her life plagued by the legions of hell demons prophesised to come to earth and kill mankind, is saved by a bunch of guys ready to aid her and the rest of the world against the evil around them.
Sunwoo Hyun, the Student Body President and Buddhist disciple, Tae Chail, resident hothead and Seo fancier, fend off the ones who came to do her harm. Currently staying within a convent for protection Yun Mirae becomes good friends with her, and they get to know each other better while everyone else around aren't bothering with her at all, Seo finds this highly annoying and feels more distant than ever around the other students. Yun sees a murder will happen there and is sent by the Vatican as an exorcist, Sunwoo is shocked she uses a cross rather than incantations to rid the evil. When a man they know of as The Heavenly Father is on the loose in search of Yumi they have to find him and prevent him from unleashing hell on earth.
Evil's Return is an essential part of an older teen's reading. This is fun with seriously cool characters, girls who are ballsy, others cute and some lovely. The demons come in all shapes, sizes and sharp teeth, and any guy who sees a beautiful girl in this series is set to drool at the very sight of her until she changes into a ravening beast – which happens a lot in this. And with the way Huan draws the girls it is not hard to see why the attraction is there in the first place.
The art is seductive, raunchy, pretty and detailed right from the start, and the story has another one about a character who has a dark past that the current present seems to mirror.
Punchy, savage and brutally brilliant.
