Here it is – brother vs. brother! Itachi vs. Sasuke in the grudge match of the season! It burns Sasuke somethin’ fierce that Itachi only wants Naruto and ignores the burning ball of vengeance that is Sasuke. Itachi has a lot to answer for, he murdered their parents, killed off the entire clan and now Sasuke is there wanting to mete out some serious payback!

The wake of that quake will leave Sasuke in dire straits. In a hurry to help him, Naruto sets off with Jiraiya to find Tsunade, a ninja famous for her medical skills. She may be Sasuke’s only hope! With all that drama, the show slide-steps into humor when Jiraiya and Naruto hit village after village to search for Tsunade who isn’t all Naruto would have expected. These adult ninja sure are an eccentric lot aren’t they? I love Jiraiya, that dude is hilarious!

The battle with Itachi is cool. He has a freaky totally overwhelming power. He pulled it out on Kekkashi last volume and this time it’s Sasuke who gets the full force of it. Just what is it this guy can do? Bend time and space? Alternate realities? Dimensional warping? He’s like a sci-fi ninja! He is a serious big bad.

The comedy is hit afterwards when Naruto’s training with the legendary pervy sage. Some water balloons, some chakra control, maybe Naruto can master one super cool jutsu! But first he has to focus and concentrate, the very same talents he’s always lacked. Yikes, looks like he’s in for some hard work. They haven’t forgotten about their search for Tsunade though. They train, they travel, and with each step get closer to the gambling addict aka healer. But they’re not the only ones out looking for her. Orochimaru is closing in on her too. He wants her to remove the curse the Hokage put on him – or else!
