Good looking but shy Shinobu and handsome stunner Eiichi have a lot more than the upcoming exams on their minds. They have each other! But love is never easy, especially in yaoi. Shinobu is awfully uptight. He’s embarrassed and simply terrible at expressing his feelings. Eiichi’s a good-looking man who’s laid back but focused and often Shinobu jumps all around to get to the worst possible conclusion. There are blow ups, make ups, and making out in Duetto where opposites attract!
It’s a nice stand alone yaoi. The story telling is a bit fragmented in parts, it kind of jumps around now and again, but you get a story that tackles the rare topic in yaoi about long distance relationships. When Eiichi gets a job overseas that he can’t refuse, Shinobu suffers with the long distance love, so far way and not close enough. He gets wind of Eiichi maybe being engaged and it sends him into a frenzy! This pretty man is mega insecure and it feeds the soap opera fodder. Could he be losing his one and only love? Its melodrama yaoi style the way you’d expect it.
There’s a couple of tantalizing bonus stories. The first is a surprising story in an otherwise sweet manga romance collection. This one though is all about rough seduction, tying up, and committing one of the most sinful of taboos! The last story involves two classmates. It’s about overflowing passion and overwhelming feelings for a sweet yet voyeuristic tale of love.
The illustrations are lovely, sexy, and the sex scenes are often searing! It has that oh-so-irresistible wind swept look to the young hot men. The sex is toned down a bit throughout the story of Eiichi and Shinobu, focusing more on beautiful romantic imagery. But things heat up with the explicitness big time for the bonus tales of titillation.
There are two bonus stories to heat things up, and the main romance to warm you up in Duetto.
