The penultimate volume about an assassin seeking redemption has the two lethal sets of killers, both the Chronos Numbers and the Apostles of the Stars, meet each other in a final ultimate battle where there are no rules and neither side is looking to take any prisoners. The big question is: will Train go against his promise and kill Creed for murdering Saya? All the answers are here in this volume!

The big showdown between the Numbers and the Apostles is what everyone has been waiting for. And it doesn’t stop there. The final fight between Train and Creed happens in this collection of episodes! The volume starts peculiarly with a stand-alone episode when Train finds himself being nursed back to health by a girl who has her own tragedies weighing her down. It reminds him of the importance of not only having friends, but accepting their help. From there, the show launches into the three-episode arc tackling the monumental battle between Chronos Numbers, a handful of Sweepers and the Tao powered Apostles of the Stars. The main fights focus on Eve against the boy with the power of wind, Leon; Sephiria confronting Creed who has become more powerful than ever; and the final showdown between Train and Creed. The animation for the fights are innovative and wonderfully suspenseful, filled with tension. The emotion between Creed and Train run high as they at last face each other again.

What was so unexpected in this next to last volume is that the Creed and Apostles story would come to an end. The expectation would be for it to continue into the last volume, but instead the anime closes one story and brings up another from its threads. Friends become enemies, allies cannot be trusted and the story is far from over for Train and his friends!
